424 Stranded Nigerians Arrived From Saudi, Abike Dabiri Sends Message

  • Recall the report that about eight hundred and two (802) Nigerians were stranded in Saudi Arabia after the country nabbed them for either using a fake pass, staying longer than they registered to stay and many other things.

This is not the first time this is happening, many Nigerians do this on purpose to be able to stay back in the countries where they only went to visit or on a pilgrimage. They sneak their ways out of the crowd and stay back without cash or idea how they would survive.

Many of such persons are being returned almost every year to Nigeria and the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Mrs. Abike Daniel has been doing a great job in making sure they are all well catered for and brought back to Nigeria safely.

Few hours ago, four hundred and twenty four of such persons were returned from Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, they landed at the Abuja airport few hours ago and they are all being sorted out before returning to their states and families respectively.

Mrs. Dabiri has been receiving a lot of applause for different people for a job well done. Many said she has been doing a great job carrying out research and making sure Nigerians stranded outside of the country are not left to suffer. She is has been going out of her way to make sure they are returned safely at no cost.

This afternoon, after the recent stranded Nigerians I’m Saudi Arabia arrived Abuja airport, she shared a picture of them online and gave out a strong warning to Nigerians, especially those who go through illegal means, that is illegal migration.

She said they should stop because they are only endangering their lives and putting their loved ones in touch positions. She pleaded that Nigerians should take responsibility and desist from illegal migration as the number has been on the increase recently.

The returned individuals are to go through the mandatory 14 days quarantine according to the Covid-19 pandemic guidelines. They will be in quarantine for fourteen days after which they all will be allowed to go back to their families and individual states.
