46-Yr-Old Man Blames Devil For Raping Deaf And Dumb Girl In Anambra

A 46-year-old man, Ifeanyi Atogu has been arrested for allegedly raping a deaf and dumb 7-year old girl in Ofenta Nsugbe in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The suspect reportedly lured the victim said to be the friend’s daughter to his room where he had unlawful carnal knowledge with her.

The suspect attributed his act to devil’s influence and manipulations.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed said the case would be transferred to the State criminal investigation department for discreet investigation.

He said, “On the 24/9/2020 Police operatives attached to 3-3 Division arrested one Ifeanyi Atogu ‘m’ aged 46-years of Ofenta Nsugbe in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State.

“Suspect allegedly lured his friend’s daughter who is deaf and dumb aged 7years old and had unlawful carnal knowledge with her.

“Police detectives took the victim to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was confirmed by the medical doctor.

“Meanwhile, the suspect has voluntarily confessed and attributes his act to devil’s influence and manipulations.

“Case would be transferred to the State criminal investigation department for discreet investigation as directed by the Commissioner of Police, John Abang after which suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.”
