Stomach pain can be caused by a wide variety of issues, from gas to more serious conditions like appendicitis or Crohn’s disease. Noting the severity and area of the abdomen affected can help with a diagnosis.
However, you must make every effort to ensure that other elements do not intervene and exacerbate the situation. What you consume in such instances can make a big difference in whether the situation improves or worsens.
1. Dairy Products
When you have an upset stomach, avoid milk, cheese, and ice cream. They’re difficult to digest, in part due to their high-fat content. Plain, nonfat yoghurt is occasionally acceptable, but start with a small amount and see how it goes.
2. Fried Foods
Because Fried Foods are high in oil and fat, they are more difficult to digest. Even if you’re healthy, fried meals are not 100% good for you, and they can worsen your stomach pains.
3. Soda or Sugar based drinks
Bubbles may be an issue when gas enters your digestive system. And consuming a lot of sugar at once may increase diarrhoea because drinking sugar is the fastest method to get it into your circulation.
Whatever you do, avoid sugar-based drinks, if you feel stomach pains.
4. Spicy food
With an upset stomach, spicy food is probably the last thing you should eat, there’s a reason for that. Your digestive system may have to work harder to digest it, which will aggravate your rumbly stomach. Eventually making your stomach situation a lot worst.
