EDITOR’S PICK:

So, in this article on EKO HOT BLOG we would be looking at mistake you must avoid while charging your phone.

1. Using a wrong or improvised charger cable

Using an improvised charger cable that isn’t prescribed by the manufacturer can do some serious damage to its motherboard. For instance, connecting different charger cables that aren’t compatible with the manufacturer’s specifications might only increase the risk of having your phone damaged.

2. Connecting the phone to an extremely high or low electric voltage

It is always advisable to charge your phone under a moderate electric voltage that is neither too high nor low. Connecting your phone to a faulty electric current might cause it to malfunction, or lead to an explosion in worst cases. In my opinion, I will advise the use of a power stabilizing device to help normalize the electric voltage, especially when you reside in an area with a faulty power supply.

3. Using the smartphone for a heavy or power-consuming task while charging

Most phone experts usually advise against the practice of using the smartphone while connected to a power source. This can lead to the colliding of the chemical components of the phone due to overheating which might cause the phone to explode in most cases. If there is a need to use the phone for a heavy task like playing games, social media or other time-consuming tasks, it becomes pivotal to unplug it first.

4. Frequent charging habit

It is good to charge your phone when it has low power, but the habit of constantly charging it even when the battery capacity is above average will damage the battery and the phone in the long run. Most people are fond of charging their phone even when it reduces by one percent, thus; decreasing its life span.

5. Leaving the phone connected to electricity when fully charged

Leaving the phone still connected to the power source for hours when it is fully charged will destroy the phone gradually.
