The ‘Power saving mood’ is a feature that is present in every smartphone – be it an IOS or Android that is designed to increase your phone’s battery life by reducing its running capacity. When the ‘Power saving mood’ is activated, it will automatically turn off some background settings and applications, and it will also restrict most apps from utilizing their full capacity, thereby reducing the power consumption.
2. Turn off internet services like WIFI and Mobile data when not in use
The internet functionality is among the phone’s settings that consume a significant amount of power. When the WIFI or mobile data is activated, it causes the phone to utilize its full system resources thereby resulting in overheating, which drains the battery life drastically. When the internet service is no longer in use, it then becomes rational to turn them off in other to increase your battery life.
3. Reduce the backlight of your phone’s screen
Reducing your phone’s backlight is another easy strategy for elongating your battery life to a large extent. When your backlight is turned on to its maximum capacity, it will prompt the operating system to channel more energy to the screen display, hence; causing your battery to drain faster.
4. Exit/close apps properly after use
When mobile applications and games are not properly exited, they will keep processing in the background, thereby consuming the system resources which directly affects the strength of your battery. The idea of closing your mobile apps properly and allowing little or no app running in the background will leave your device in it relaxed mood, which will improve its battery life.
5. Deactivate the animated wallpaper of the screensaver
In addition to the previous point, wallpaper animations and other sorts of animations causes your phone to use an extra system resource to keep them running, which is indirectly eating your phone’s RAM and battery life in the process.
