50 Years After: Molusi College ‘69/’73 Set Celebrates Grand Reunion Gala Night

Eko Hot Blog reports that Molusi College old students association (MOCOSA) set of 1969/1973 has wrapped up its 50th anniversary reunion celebration with a gala night.

The gala night held on Saturday, November 26th, 2023, at the Home Base Hotel in Ijari, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The event commenced with a prayer and nostalgic beats of old-school music, fostering an atmosphere of joy and appreciation among the attendees.

The Global Chairman of MOCOSA, Dr. Wole Kukoyi, set the tone with an opening speech, celebrating the lives of those that the set had lost and expressing gratitude for the preserved lives.

“This set has lost a number of our mates, but we are here because of the grace of God. It’s not like those that left have done more sinful things than those of us alive; it’s just the grace of God, a reason we have to celebrate the grace,” he emphasized.

Dr. Kukoyi took a moment to appreciate Eko Hot Blog for its remarkable coverage of the event, specifically lauding the publisher and an old of Molusi College, Otunba TJ Abass.

“I want to thank Eko Hot Blog. You are really doing marvelously. We are always very proud of you for your professionalism, for the love you have for the set,” he stated.

The Master of Ceremony added humour to the evening, and Mr. Yomi Hussein, the chairman of the set, expressed gratitude for life since graduating from Molusi College.

He thanked the reunion committee, donors, Eko Hot Blog, Home Base Hotel, and others, emphasizing the spirit of brotherhood and kindness within the set.

Dr. Kukoyi returned to the stage to provide a historical perspective, reminiscing about the challenges and triumphs of the set since graduating.

He urged regular gatherings, stating, “There’s nothing like coming together like this. Let us come together more often so that we can always enjoy the company of one another.”

The night continued with games, awards, and the cutting of a special 50th-anniversary cake.

Notable figures, including Dr. Kukoyi, Otunba Abass, Mrs. U.M Balogun, and Chief Mrs. Yemisi Ogunmefun, received awards for their significant contributions.

On his part, Otunba Abass reflected on the special moment, praising the unity and achievements of the 69/73 set.

He made a toast, expressing gratitude for the spirit of altruism that made the reunion a success.
