Saheed Osupa:Controversial Singer, Portable Held in Kwara Prison After Failing to Meet Bail Conditions
- Portable Remanded in Prison: Singer Okikiola Badmus, known as Portable, was sent to Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin after failing to meet bail conditions set by an Upper Area Court.
- Defamation Charges: The controversial musician faces defamation of character charges filed by Fuji legend Saheed Osupa, following public disputes between the two.
- Bail Conditions: Portable was required to pay N1 million and provide two sureties, including one from PMAN and a property owner in Ilorin with a valid Certificate of Occupancy.
Popular Nigerian singer, Okikiola Badmus, better known as Portable, has been sent to Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. This happened because he could not meet the strict bail conditions given to him by an Upper Area Court in the state.
Portable was taken to court on Monday, April 14, 2025, to face charges of defamation of character. These charges were brought against him by famous Fuji music legend, Akorede Saheed, popularly known as Saheed Osupa.

The court ordered Portable to pay N1 million for bail. He was also asked to bring two sureties (people who will guarantee his bail). One of the sureties must be a top official from the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), either the Chairman or Secretary.
The second surety must own property in a Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Ilorin, and must show a valid Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) for the property.
Because Portable could not meet these tough conditions, he was sent to prison until he is able to do so.
