The South African police is currently investigating an alleged man of God, Prophet Rufus Phala who reportedly fed his members with a house hold bleach known as Dettol.
Fifty-nine of them have been confirmed dead while four others are in critical condition after drinking the disinfectant which they said was a sign of faith in the healing miracle.

Rufus urged the congregation to drink the antiseptic as they would be healed from their infirmities.
“I know Dettol is harmful, but God instructed me to use it. I was the first one to drink it,” he claimed, adding that he had been getting WhatsApp messages from people who said they had been healed.
