EKO HOT BLOG reports that six Manchester United players are reportedly ready to leave the club.
Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, and Lee Grant are all uncertain about their future in Manchester United and areset to leave United at the end of the season when their contracts expire. Pogba has already been approached by Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the Mirror claims six more in-contract players want to leave – but won’t be able to. Anthony Martial is one of them, it says.
The striker is having a torrid loan spell at Sevilla after forcing a temporary move away amid being unhappy with his game-time under Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford.
Shunned Donny van de Beek, who is out on loan at Everton, also supposedly wants out.
Back-up goalkeeper Dean Henderson, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly all reportedly wish to leave the club too.
However, United officials have told the squad that those who are still within contract will not be able to force a move away this summer due to the number of players whose deals expire at the end of the season.
This stance, the report says, does not exclude club top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo, who will almost certainly not play Champions League football next season with United. The only caveat given to these players is that they may be allowed to leave towards the end of the summer window if the new manager brings in new players and deems the disgruntled surplus to requirements.
Meanwhile, United’s reported interest in Arnaut Danjuma has been muddied. The winger netted the winner for Villarreal as they shocked Bayern Munich 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie this week.
Now, Fichajes reports that Real Madrid have entered the race for the former Bournemouth man, with Liverpool also in the mix. He has been targeted as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard, who has failed to live up to expectations during his time in Spain.
