EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the incident unfolded when a neighbor, identified as Jimoh Barakat Tolani, allegedly requested to take the infant along with her to Ayetoro Market in Epe.
Tolani, who had seemingly bonded with the child, convinced the boy’s mother, Mistura Edu, that they would return shortly, promising to use the same motorcycle (okada) for the trip.
The 20-year-old mother, likely seeing the offer as a brief respite, agreed and handed her child over to Tolani.
However, hours passed, and there was no sign of the woman or the baby. As time stretched from one hour to four, and into the next day, Saturday, the whereabouts of both Tolani and Abdul Fatai remained unknown.
