80-Year-Old Wood Seller Rapes 10-Year-Old Orphan In Yobe
A wood seller identified as Mohammed Bara’u, who is reportedly in his 80s has been arrested by the Yobe State Police Command for allegedly raping a10-year-old girl in the state.
According to reports, the 80-year-old man had made several attempts to get down with the young girl who is reportedly an orphan, but all proved abortive until his last move.
Ekohotblog understands that Mohammed Bara’u had been trying to tempt the young child with chocolate but didn’t work out until last Sunday when he finally deceived her by requesting that she should help him with something from his room.
The girl who is a resident of Lawan Fannami ward in Gashu’a community ignorantly entered Mohammed’s room, he immediately defiled her.
Medical examination at the General Hospital in Gashu’a further revealed that the girl was defiled while the suspect has equally confessed to the crime.
“I had carnal knowledge of the girl once,” the old man confessed to raping of the toddler in police custody.
The victim lost both her father and mother some years back. She is an orphan.
The suspect, Mohammed Bara’u will be transferred to CID office, Damaturu on Friday.
