Various Muslim clerics who offered prayers and gave sermons at the well-attended event extolled the passion and dedication of the late Alhaji Mohammed towards the advancement of humanity and his exemplary well-lived life.
They further urged the children and grandchildren to make sure that they carry on the legacy of their late father and grandfather and they also preached on the need for men to make humility their watchword even as they urged all those in positions of authority, as well as, everyone still alive to emulate the life of service to humanity as exemplified by the late Akanji.

The diseased first daughter Alhaja Fausiat Anriola Anike Oladega, in her tribute, extolled her late father to be a truthful and disciplined leader who not only speak the truth but also teaches all his children in the way of the holy Quran.
“My dad was a bold speaker of truth, and says things exactly the way they are with fear of no one except God, I also thank God for the gift of my father who not only train us but also make us have a solid foundation in Islam and make us abide by every word In the holy Quran.”
“My fathers love for his family and friends is unquantifiable, he was a supporter, an adviser and most importantly loved by all.”
“I pray that the Lord forgives him of all his shortcomings, keep him in his bosom, and I pray for all my siblings, stepmother and other family members that the Lord make us best friends forever.”
One of the late Alhaji’s sons, Akanji Yusuf Olatunji also extol how diligent, smart, brave his late father was.
“My father was a man of wisdom and I’ll miss him more now that he’s no longer with us. It really hurts to know that my children won’t get to know him and learn from him like I did.”
“I’m really surprised to see everywhere crowded with dignitaries, clerics and so many important people as they all pay their last respect to my dad, today I know I’ve lost a genius and a man of his words.

The CEO, Publisher, EKO HOT BLOG, Otunba T J Abass, and uncle to Alhaja Fausiat, who was at the occasion also eluded the late Alhaji Akanji.
In his word, “what we are experiencing here today is just a celebration of a life well-lived, a celebration of exemplary life, a celebration of giving back to the society and most importantly a celebration to touching so many lives. That was the kind of life Alhaji lived; 82 good years of making an impact.”
“Life they say is like a journey, we have a point of embarkment and a point of disembarkment, but the point of disembarkment is what we don’t know except God who has the power over all mortals. That is why it is important that we live an impactful life while alive because what we do while alive is what people will see when we are no more.
“What we are doing here today is a chronicle of a wonderful life of Alhaji. I had an opportunity to be with him during his lifetime, and I must say that he was a wonderful man, and we will always continue to remember him for his life, for his legacy and for so many lives he’s been able to touch. May his soul rest in peace.
“one thing I like about the children, while Alhaji was alive is nothing but love, love is the key to everything. Alhaji has so many wives, but you wouldn’t tell who is the mother of who, because they all work together, do everything together and it is that love that has been able to bring all of them together.
“What I can admonish them is to continue on that part. This is what Alhaji would have loved for his children to come together as one. That is the only key to anything that we do in life, and I want them to continue to do what Alhaji wants, continue to believe in Allah and remain in the worship of the greatest Allah.
We all pray that Almighty Allah continues to keep Alhaji Akanji in his bosom.
