Katsina NUJ Mourns Children Killed In Bomb Blast

-NUJ mourns the death of children in a bomb blast in Katsina
-NUJ urges security personnel to deploy more forces to secure the areas
-NUJ demands justice for the bomb blast victims

Katsina state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), on Monday, mourned the death of children killed in a bomb blast on Saturday.

The union also called on the state government to take more measures to protect its citizens.

Ekohotblog recalled that Five children had died and six others injured from the blast that happened on Saturday at a farm in Yammama village, Malumfashi local government area of the state.

The NUJ Chairman, Mr. Tukur Dan-Ali, in a statement issued on Monday in Katsina, emphasized the problem of insecurity, calling that the government should bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.

The union chairman urged the military to sustain attacks on bandits operating in the state, to restore peace and stability to the entire Northwest zone.

The union also commiserated with the family of one of the deceased children, Alhaji Hussaini Mai-Kwai, over the unfortunate incident.
