Women Empowerment, Recipe For Sustainable Development, Cecilia Bolaji Dada
The key to sustainable development in any society is to religiously inculcate the culture of empowering our women and get them engaged in nation-building. The Lagos State Government has always played a leading role in that effort but will need to do more
The Commissoner for Woman Development and Poverty Alleviation in the state, Mrs. Cecilia Bolaji Dada, stated this at the opening session of Business Capacity Building for Women in the public service, organized by the Women Development Center, in Lagos.
She also said that this initiative is to broker women in Lagos to always do better on their own, whether arrived or not. It is to ensure sustainable growth in the local economy and to also create money-making jobs for women.

Dada also disclosed that the WAPA connect conference, a women-centered meeting to ensure promoting a violence and chaos-free society by encouraging self entrepreneurship through empowering woman and boosting financial stability, was planned to explicitly create opportunities for women development, stating that over 700 women, from all phase attended the seminar.
“Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration has focused solely on empowering and helping women in the states grow” she said.
This new made initiative is to ensure the elimination of poverty amongst women through self-empowerment by the Lagos state government, said the Director of WDC, Mrs Deola adepoju.
