Onigbongbo LCDA Chairman, Francis Oke Dies Of COVID-19

The chairman of Onigbongbo local council development area,(LCDA) Francis Tunde Oke has died from complications.

Tunde Oke died on Wednesday morning at St Nicholas hospital in Lagos after a long battle with the virulent infection.

EkoHotBlog gathered that Oke was first admitted  Into the isolation centre in Gbagada after testing positive for the malignant infection.

But he was subsequently moved to the better equipped St Nicholas hospital for better medical attention after his health condition deteriorated, he however gave up the ghost on Wednesday morning.

Oke joined the growing list of prominent people who have died of the COVID-19 infection. You recalled that, a former senator and PDP stalwart, Buratai Kashamu, from COVID-19 complications on Saturday, 8th August 2020. Senator representing Lagos East senatorial district, Sikiru Oshinowo, late chief of staff to the president Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, to mention few are among influential people who have suffered the misfortune of being taken away from this world by the ravaging pandemic.

Their death is a testament to the fact the pandemic is no respecter of status, age and position.

We should at all times make it a point of duty to follow the advisories of medical practitioners and other relevant agencies on what to do stay safe.
