BREAKING: Assemblies Of God Church Lifts Suspension On Rev. Dr Chidi Okoroafor
The Leadership of Assemblies of God Nigeria has lifted the suspension meted on Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor.
Chidi Okoroafor is a former General Superintendent of the Church.
Recall that on the 3rd of March 2020, Executive Committee of the Church had suspended Okoroafor over an alleged affair with a US based woman.
Okoroafor was found guilty of having an immoral affair with a woman identified as Mrs Maurrissal Nwosu by a panel headed by former Lagos District Superintendent Rev Isaac Mpamugo, and subsequently dismissed after the panel submitted its report.
The General Superintendent whose dismissal was announced on March 6, during the church’s General Committee emergency sitting, was accused of going against Biblical principles and the Constitution and Bye-Laws of Assemblies of God Nigeria.
He was ordered to hand over all Assemblies of God properties in his possession. Rev Ejikeme Ejim was also appointed as the Acting General Superintendent of the church.
Today, September, 6, 2020 the General Superintendent Rev Pst Ejikeme Ejim, General Secretary Rev Dr Godwin Amaowoh and the General Treasurer Rev Dr Vincent Alaje all attended Assemblies of God National Chapel Enugu ,where the Suspension was lifted.
Photos shared from the service shows that Chidi Okoroafor has truly repented and was very sorry for commiting such unholy act against God and disgracing the church.

Headquartered in Okpoto, Ebonyi State, the Assemblies of God Church is a Pentecostal Christian denomination affiliated with the World Assemblies of God Fellowship in the United States.
