Unrest In Rivers As Wike Declares IPOB Leader Wanted With N50m Bounty
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Friday declared Stanley Mgbere, an alleged IPOB leader, wanted with N50,000,000 bounty.
He revealed this during a statewide broadcast amidst the insurgency and killings rocking the State, which has been reportedly carried out by the Indigenous People of Biafra.
Long before now the State Government had placed a ban on the activities of the IPOB, as they were declared a terrorist group by the Federal High Court.
But recently, there has been an unrest as a result of the #EndSARS protests in Oyigbo community, one of the communities housing the biggest number of the IPOB members.
The chaos in Oyigbo community led to death of many, houses burnt, and that led Wike to make a fresh broadcast giving orders to the Police to arrest, prosecute anyone who has something to do with the IPOB in the state.
