Benue Declares Fridays As Work-Free Day For Crop Harvest

Benue State Government has declared Fridays as work-free days for civil servants in the state.

The state government added that the work-free day will begin on November 6 till January 29, 2021, while the normal weekly work schedule will resume on February 5, 2021.

The state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Ngunan Addingi said, “the declaration of Fridays as work-free days is to improve food security in the state.”

The governor has always declared Fridays for the state workers during plant and harvest seasons.
