3 Abducted As Police Rescue 19 Persons From Kidnappers

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command says it men forestall gunmen plan to abduct 19 Persons.

In a statement on Thursday, ASP Mariam Yusuf, Police Public Relations Officer, said operatives foiled an attempt to abduct them on Pei-leilei road along Kwali axis.

Three persons were, however, not lucky enough as they were abducted by the gunmen.

The spokesperson said the police responded to a distress call and engaged the heavily armed hoodlums in a fierce gun duel.

Yusuf noted that efforts are being made to rescue three captives.

The hoodlums escaped with them into the bordering forest.

The command assured the public of security of lives and property ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebration.
