Okonjo-Iweala Calls For Rescue Of Abducted Katsina Students
A former Nigerian Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has called on the Federal Government to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the rescue of the over 300 students abducted from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State.
Okonjo-Iweala, who made this known in tweet last night, said those using the children as pawns must be held accountable.
“The abduction of more than 300 schoolboys in Katsina is heartbreaking. What a recurring nightmare. My heart goes out to the families of the missing boys. The authorities must do all possible to #BringBackOurBoys! Those using our children as pawns must be held accountable!” she wrote.

Eko Hot Blog reported that armed bandits had stormed the school on Friday night and abducted about 600 students forcing others to flee into the surrounding forest.
Meanwhile, the Boko Haram terrorist group, on Tuesday, claimed responsibility for the abduction, saying the dastardly act was done in order to discourage people from obtaining western education.
