Insecurity: Suspected Herdsmen Kill Lawyer, Wife In Benue
At least three persons including a lawyer and his wife were killed by suspected herdsmen in an attack at Agboughul in Makurdi, Benue State,
Residents said the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The attack is coming on the heels of an attack that claimed four lives and left seven others injured by suspected herdsmen at Tse Angbande, a suburb of Makurdi.

While condemning the killings, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom asked the Federal Government to step up plans and strategies to stamp out terrorism and banditry which has been terrorising the state since 2009 and have refused to obey the state’s open grazing prohibition and ranches establishment law of 2017.
He expressed worry over the violent herdsmen targeting of the men of the agro-rangers and the state livestock guard operatives.
