Gov Makinde Ushers GSM Tennis Championship In Style

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde officially launched GSM Tennis Championship 2020 by taking part in a lawn tennis exhibition match.

The Governor shared the information on his verified facebook page and the state government’s Facebook page,  EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

Seyi Makinde outclassed his chief of staff, Bisi Ilaka in the exhibition Lawn Tennis match on Tuesday.

While addressing the press, Makinde emphasised that the GSM Tennis Championship is a personal initiative close to his heart as a lover of tennis.

The event took place at the at the Ibadan Recreation Club, Ibadan.

According to a statement read by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the governor of the pacesetter state expressed excitement at the sight of many young tennis talents who will be taking part in the competition, explaining that his government will do everything humanly possible to encourage the development of talents in the game.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, Seun Fakoride who was also present at the event, described the event as epochal, noting that a lot of things have taken a new shape in the state since Governor Seyi Makinde assumed office as governor, with sports development being one of them.
