Police Begin Search For Abducted Owerri Archdiocese Bishop
Police authorities in Imo State has confirmed the abduction of the auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Archdiocese, Bishop Moses Chikwe.
The State’s Police Public Relations Officer, Orlando Ikeokwu, who confirmed the incident to journalists on Tuesday, said that the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Isaac Akinmoyede has activated the command’s Quick Intervention Team (QUIT) and the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU), to wade into the matter with a mission to rescue the Bishop and arrest the perpetrators.

The Archbishop of Owerri, His Grace Archbishop Anthony Obinna, disclosed that the priest was kidnapped on Sunday night, adding that his captors has not been in communication with anyone since then.
