Dyagas Tasks Southern Kaduna Citizens On Mechanised Farming
A Philanthropist cum Stakeholder in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Comrade Jonathan Dyagas, has tasked Southern Kaduna Citizens on the need to become creative thinkers and developers of ideas, particularly, on mechanised farming as part of diversification geared towards boosting the region’s economy.
Dyagas gave the task recently in his New year goodwill message to the people of the area while fielding questions from Journalists in kafanchan, Kaduna State Nigeria.
According to him, “ideas rules the world now, and Once they are conceived and marketed, people will buy into them. So, as you grow, you don’t just rely on the service sector of the economy as the only way of being employed”
He explained that diversification is necessary in life, stressing the need for the people to diversify in other endeavours that would improve their wellbeing.
”We don’t need to rely on farming alone, we should also go into commercial farming, not the regular farming that we are used to. People farm mostly to eat, but now let us go into mechanise farming, let us farm to sell and make some money out of it,” Dyagas said.

He noted that “the Southern Kaduna soil is so fertile, and even this ginger that we are known for, I am so happy today that a bag is being sold for N28,000, and with this development, by the year 2021 you will see a lot of buildings coming up. This was what happened 4-years ago when the product was sold at about this price; we saw development everywhere” he added.
He also urged the people to explore all the opportunities of exporting the product out of the country, adding that citizens can form cooperatives that will make things easier, geared toward bringing sustainable development in the region.
While commenting on the State of insecurity in the nation, he charged Security agencies to stepped up and changed their methods, stressing that the current situation is not encouraging, that the military can do enough.
”The country has never had it so bad like this time, and I will say it is so unfortunate. I am calling on the Government to do more for the Security agencies for the safety of its citizens.” The Philanthropist advised.
