Doctor Olufunmilayo on Twitter has warned young people that they also stand a risk of having kidney failure, contrary to the assumption that it is only old people that have kidney failure.
The doctor was dishing out the advise due to the lifestyles that young Nigerians are living, where they drink and smoke anyhow they want because they think that they cannot have kidney problems due to their age.
However, Doctor Olufunmilayo has said that young people also stand at a high risk of having kidney failures which may occur due to their reckless lifestyles.
He also revealed that a kidney transplant could cost above 15 million naira as kidneys are really expensive, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
The doctor went ahead to give advise on what young people should do if they do not want to risk having a kidney failure.
According to the doctor, to avoid the risk of having a kidney failure, you must do these:
- Have some exercise daily

Avoid bleaching your skin

Drink 3 litres of water everyday.

Avoid the herb drinks they sell by the roadside.

Check your blood pressure every 3 months.

Avoid smoking cigarettes, weed or shisha.
