1. Doris Samuel Akonanya

She is perhaps one of the most motivational actresses in Nigeria, because she basically became one of the most popular actresses in the country despite having lost one of her legs at a very tender age.

According to reports , Doris has lost her leg at the young age of 13, due to the complications that arose from the accident she had with a motorcycle. The doctors wanted to save her life and decided that her legs must be amputated if she were to live another day.

However, she was not deterred but this incident, and she rose among the ranks of actresses in the country after she already attended the University of Nnamdi Azikiwe (Unizik) to pursue a career in theatre arts.

2. Peter Eneh

According to reports, the veteran actor had been seriously sick for many months without the necessary medical procedures being taken due to the non-availability of funds. Hence, the infection got very severe and his leg had to be amputated.

Pete died some weeks after his leg was amputated, and according to sources, it was said that the reason behind his sudden death after the medical procedure was not because of his sickness, but the pain of living as an amputee for the rest of his life.

3. Tunde Alabi

This veteran Hollywood actor lost his legs too after he battles against a severe case of diabetes. The doctors initially believed that he could be saved without his leg being amputated, but they were so wrong.

In 2016, Tunde Alabi later got his leg amputated at the Lagos General Hospital after all the other options and alternatives proved fatal and were completely out of the box for consideration.
