‘We Lost A Gem’, Says Olu-Epe On Iyaloja-General Demise

The Olu-Epe of Epe Kingdom, Oba Dr Shefiu Adewale, Bangbopa Eshinlokun I, has described the loss of the Iyaloja-General of Epe Division, Alhaja Mulikat Onibon as colossal.

Oba Adewale said this when he paid a condolence visit to the Onibon family on Friday, 26th February 2021.

Recall that Alhaja Mulikat Onibon was pronounced dead on Wednesday 24th February 2021 while she was interred the next day according to Islamic rites.

Olu-Epe in his reaction, stated that the entire Epe Division had lost a rare gem, who has paid her dues in uplifting her people, the community and Epe Division at large through her gracious leadership obsessions.

Ekohotblog gathered that Oba Dr Shefiu Adewale offered prayers to the deceased at her tomb alongside the Olu-Epe Baales and Chiefs-in-Council.

” I am here with my chiefs to pay condolence and last respect visits to Onibon Family and Late Alhaja Chief Mulikat Onibon, the Iyaloja General of Epe Division respectively.
Iyaloja spent a fulfilled life and her loyalty to Olu-Epe and Epe kingdom at large was second to none.

“May Allah SWT forgive her shortcomings and reward her good deeds bountifully.
She earned my respect throughout her lifetime. Rest on ma” Olu-Epe stated.

Speaking with Ekohotblog, Mrs Adijat Opeyemi Onibon, the wife of MOCPED Provost, Associate Professor Nosiru Onibon, She described her late Mother-in-law as the kind of woman every wife would wish to have, stating that she’s fun to be with, friendly, decent and kindhearted.

” I love her for the kind of fulfilled life she lived with monumental accomplishments. She was a neat woman, the room of her kind of old woman was fascinating and well kept. I’m going to miss visiting her. The habit of giving her provisions every month has stopped. I can longer get her nice fabrics whenever I visit her. May Almighty Allah grant her Aljanat Fridaos”, she prayed.
