Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, Gani Adams has raised the alarm over the murdering of four men by those accepted to be Iskilu Wakili’s men.
Adams said local people were hacked to death at Idiyan town, Igangan, Oyo State, on Monday, one day after Wakili was captured by the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC).
The Yoruba chief, in an explanation by his representative, Kehinde Aderemi, said the culprits have been threatening the town and its environs.
Adams said they have gathered over N800 million as payment from scores of hostages.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG , The Aare deplored that Wakili and his men previously uprooted around 1,000,000 inhabitants in excess of 10 towns in Oke Ogun.
“They have r.a.p.e.d, murdered occupants freely. Alhaja Sherifat, Dr. Fatai Aborode and a few others were slaughtered. They are as yet out of control till today. They have been threatening our kin for over six years.
“Today, four men were hacked to death at Idiyan town. It is tragic and generally terrible, that the police have not had the option to unwind the executioners till right now.”
He cautioned criminal herders to avoid the South-West, demanding that the OPC and other neighborhood security agents will keep on guaranteeing that the locale is protected.
