Honorable Tony Ifeanya, the state secretary of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has expressed optimism that the ruling party in Anambra will not only win the gubernatorial election on November 6, but will also maintain power for another 16 years.

Ifeanya stated that has a firm grip on the entire state and that Governor Willie Obiano’s accomplishments will be enough to give APGA victory in the upcoming governorship election.

The state secretary, who spoke with our correspondent at the party secretariat in Awka, claimed that any other political party would find it difficult to dethrone the All Progressive Grand Alliance, as he believed the party’s structures across the state were insurmountable.

“The truth is that APGA has a firm grip on the entire state, particularly now that the governor has done so well,” Ifeanya said. We will win this election based solely on his accomplishments.

He claimed that the governor’s Community-Choose-Your-Project Scheme has enabled development to trickle down to the hinterlands, and that the governor’s 20 million naira rural development grant has benefited all 181 communities in Anambra state.

Ifeanya said the governor had disbursed the first and second phases of the 20 million naira community development grant and that the third phase was still pending, adding that no Anambra community will pretend to be unaware of government presence.

Governor Willie Obiano’s agricultural revolution, according to the APGA scribe, has increased rice production while also ensuring food security in the state.

He said that Anambra’s exports of bitter leaf, yam, and other agricultural products were no longer news.

He also stated that since his appointment, Governor Obiano has not made any mistakes in the payment of wages and pensions to employees and retirees, emphasizing that it was Governor Obiano who corrected the incorrect perception that pensioners were dead woods.
