#FuelPriceHike: Nigerians React To Increase In Petroleum Pump Price
- … the retail price of petrol would sell between market band of ₦209.61 and ₦212.61
Reactions have begun trailing reports that the Price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise called petrol has soared to ₦212.6 per litre.
The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) had said in a new monthly template that the retail price of petrol would sell between market band of ₦209.61 and ₦212.61.
The increase follows the rising price of crude at the international market as well as instability in exchange rate.

This conundrum is a design; global oil prices go up, Nigeria’s FX revenue automatically increases due to its oil sales, but on the flip side of that coin, Nigeria’s petrol imports price increase due to the same effect. Because refining oil locally is rocket science #FuelPriceHike
