Photos: Disaster As Akwa United Players Crash With Borrowed Super Eagles Bus In Enugu

Nigeria Professional Football League Club, Akwa United players were involved in an accident on Friday morning on their way to honour an NPFL game in Kaduna against Jigawa Golden Stars.

The club posted on its Facebook page about the incident. The team were traveling in a bus and had a collision with a lorry. The accident happened in Enugu along Ezionye Express,  EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

No casualties were reported by the team but players and officials sustained injuries. One player and two officials were taken to hospital as at the time of writing this report.

The cause of the accident is yet to be known as the club has not given a comprehensive report on the incident

Recently, Wikki Tourists bus caught fire on their way to play an away game and some clubs have also been either harrassed by hoodlums or their vehicles faced the risk of catching fire.

Akwa United Football Club is based in Uyo, They play in the first division of Nigerian football, the Nigeria Professional Football League. Godswill Akpabio International Stadium is the club’s home stadium.
