The vaccine produced by the Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical giant in collaboration with Oxford University has come under intense scrutiny lately after blood clots were reported in some people who received the jab. The led to the halting of inculcation exercise in several countries that include Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Bulgaria, Thailand, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands, Austria, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg and Italy.
The World Health Organisation says there is no need for panic or cause for concern as there is no established link between the vaccine and the blood clots.
