RCC, Polaris Bank Staff Abducted As Gunmen Attack Ibadan Quarry Site

Bandits, Breaking: Gunmen Abduct 7-Month-Old Baby, Mother In Zamfara

At least two persons were Kidnapped on Monday when unknown gunmen stormed a quarry site in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Ekohotblog gathered one Popoola Isaac, a staff of RCC and Ismail Adeoye, a staff of Polaris Bank were the two persons abducted at the quarry site located along Ijebu-Ode / Ibadan Road.

The incident occurred at Dalli Village (Binu Quarry), along Ibadan – Ijebu-Ode Road.

The case has been reported at the Idi Ayunre police station.

The attack on Binu Quarry is coming a few months after some gunmen stormed a quarry site at Akinyele local government area in Ibadan and kidnapped some workers.

Olugbenga Fadeyi, Public Relations Officer of the State Police command, confirmed the abduction on Tuesday, saying they are the trails of the gunmen and that the police were doing everything possible to secure the victims’ release.

Fadeyi said, “Efforts intensified to get them released and also arrest the abductors.”
