A former Nigerian senator, Dino Melaye has called out the Federal Government for budgetting $1.5 billion (N700,000,000,000) for the renovation of Port Harcourt refinery in Rivers State capital.
The ex-lawmaker said such an act would mean embalming the dead.
This comes after a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar also condemned the federal government over the decision.
The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general election argued that Nigeria is sinking deeper into debt from N12 trillion to N32.9 trillion today.
