  • Nigeria, an African country on the Gulf of Guinea, has many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves.
  • Protected areas such as Cross River National Park and Yankari National Park have waterfalls, dense rainforest, savanna and rare primate habitats.
  • One of the most recognizable sites is Zuma Rock, a 725m-tall monolith outside the capital of Abuja that’s pictured on the national currency. 

Nigeria is a federation of 36 states and 1 Federal Capital Territory. Each of the 36 states is a semi-autonomous political unit that shares powers with the Federal Government as enumerated under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria .

The major reason why Abia state appears on the list of the most developed states in Nigeria is because of the visible presence of many industries in the state.

Thanks to some companies and industries majorly in Aba that are in constant production of textile materials, footwears, soap, writing materials, cement and other materials;thereby giving the states revenue a boost.

River state is one of the major oil-producing states in Nigeria since inception.

This state is one of the major south Eastern states in Nigeria today with the highest rate infrastructural development and a very low rate of poverty.In this state is where  Onitsha Great market is located.

(2.) Abuja(not really a state but the country’s capital)

Abuja is one of the most beautiful and well developed/planned cities in present-day Nigeria. It is among the major tourist attraction sites in Nigeria as it plays host to some of the country’s national assets

(1.) Lagos State

Every year, millions of Nigerians from other states migrate to Lagos State because of higher chances of getting jobs and it also boasts of advanced infrastructural development when compared to other Nigerian states.
