The Legendary ‘Eze Egwu-Ekpili’ master, Chief Emeka Morocco Maduka, was laid to rest on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in his hometown Umugama village, Ukwulu, Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Chief Morocco Maduka’s death brought grief to his people as they gathered for his burial ceremony to pay their last respect.
The late icon blessed Nigerians with the traditional Egwu-Ekpili music. Chief Morocco modernized the Igbo traditional folklore music with contemporary musical sounds and instruments.
His songs were all about philosophies, morals, and they addressed major societal issues facing the nation.
Meanwhile, his burial was attended by several dignitaries which include; former Anambra state governor and presidential hopeful, Peter Obi; Igwe Peter Uyanwa, traditional ruler of Ukwulu and a host of others, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
Chief Emeka Morocco Maduka is survived by Mrs Bridget Ifeonugekwu Maduka (wife) and seven (7) children.
