  • Doctors on Friday said at least 137 people have been killed and 221 injured in fighting in the western Sudanese conflict region of Darfur since Saturday.

At least 28 seriously injured people had to be taken to Sudan’s capital Khartoum, some 1,400 kilometres away, for further treatment, the Sudanese Medical Committee announced.
