“I Will Be Back Stronger” Sick Aubameyang Says, As He Reveals The Cause of His Absence
Aubameyang has revealed on his Instagram handle why he has been absent for Arsenal.
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been hospitalized after contracting malaria while on international duty with Gabon.
The 31-year-old scored in Gabon’s 3-0 win over DR Congo in Africa Cup of Nation qualifier on March 25.
He played for Arsenal against Slavia Prague at Emirates Stadium on April 8 but missed the match against Sheffield United on Sunday.
“I’ve been in hospital for a few days this now,” he said via Instagram
“I wasn’t really feeling myself the last couple weeks but will be back stronger than ever soon! thanks to the best doctors who detected and treated the virus quickly.” Added Aubameyang.
Aubameyang didn’t feature in the Arsenal’s 4-0 win against Slavia Prague last night.
Arsenal will face Spanish club, Villarreal in Semifinal of Europa League. Villarreal is headed by former Arsenal coach, Unai Emery, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
In another semifinal clash, Manchester United will face AS Roma of Italy.
