See List Of Properties Court Asked EFCC To Recover From Okorocha And His Family

Following his arrest and eventual release on bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Senator Rochas Okorocha may have to forfeit some properties he allegedly acquired illegally while he was Governor of Imo State.
Okorocha, who has been having a running battle with his successor, Governor Hope Uzodinma over the ownership of some assets in Owerri which the state government had sealed, was picked up by the EFCC on April 13.
The Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District was later released after the intervention of the presidency.
Meanwhile, an Imo State High Court had later ordered the interim forfeiture of all properties said to be acquired through “illegal means” by Okorocha.

Justice Fred Njemanze gave the order following an ex-parte application filed by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Louis Alozie.
A yet-to-be-confirmed list of properties which Okorocha is expected to forfeit has however surfaced online.

The Adapalm in Ohaji which Okorocha said was leased out to investors.

The Concorde Hotels, an enviable investment of the State which was allegedly acquired by Okorocha through proxies.

Westbrook Hotels which was built by Okorocha’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu.

WODDI Wellness Center owned by Okorocha’s wife, Nkechi, built on the former Imo State Secretariat Annex, a land forcefully acquired from the State by Uche Nwosu as Commissioner for Lands.

The Reach FM owned by Uche Nwosu, without any known legitimate means of owning such huge property.

The multi billion Naira Farmers Market built by Geraldine, Okorocha’s sister, on a land belonging to the State.

Over twenty-five plots of State land acquired by Uche Nwosu upon which El Freeda Foundation was built. This is the Foundation through which billions of Naira are said to have been laundered out of the State.
