European football governing body UEFA has taken a final stance on the rumoured cancellation of the semi final tie between Chelsea and Spanish champions Real Madrid.
This comes after the teams involvement in the now defunct European Super league formation.
UEFA has earlier insisted that teams who signed up for the proposed new competition would be banned from further participation in the Champions League.This threw the semi final clash between the two clubs into doubt.

However, according to reports today, UEFA has now decided that the heavyweight clash will go ahead as planned next week after the clubs suspended plans to form a new European super league.
It remains to be seen whether the apex body will consider sanctions against the twelve clubs involved in the Super League fiasco.
Ahead of the match, Real Madrid fans would be unhappy at news that they are set to be missing a few of their first team stars including the likes of Sergio Ramos and Eden Hazard.
On the other hand, Chelsea have a relatively injury free squad to pick from, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
