Today marks the 10th year popular Nigerian singer, Davido, started his career in the Nigerian music industry.
OBO, as fondly called, has won several awards and recognitions since he ventured into the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Below are things you probably didn’t know about the famous popstar:
- David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido was born on November 21, 1992.
- He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.
- Davido is the youngest of five siblings and his father’s second-born son
- Davido started his primary education by attending British International School in Lagos before moving back to the United States at the age of 16 to study business administration at Oakwood University in Alabama.
- Davido dropped out of Oakwood University to pursue music full-time in London before he moved back to Nigeria in 2011.
- He released his first studio album “Omo Baba Olowo” in 2011.
- Davido rose to fame after the release of “Dami Duro” in 2012. This earned him the first award, “Next Rated”, at The Headies in 2012.
- He graduated from Babcock University with a degree in music in July 2015.
- Davido has won several awards in the music industry, some of which include the South African Music Award for Rest of Africa Artist, MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act in 2017, The Headies Award for Artiste of the Year 2018, among others.
