Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has announced a review of the 24 hours curfew imposed on Ikare Akoko North East Local Government.

The curfew was imposed after three days of violence over the Olokoja chieftaincy title.

Four persons were killed, many were injured and belongings were destroyed.

Two persons, Chief Sunday Bada and Chief Ogunye ldowu, are fighting over who is the rightful Olokoja of Okoja, a village in Ikare.

Both men are loyal to two warring monarchs in Ikare, the Olukare of Ikare and Owa Ale of Ikare.

A statement by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, said the curfew review would begin from today between 7pm to 7am.

He said the curfew was reviewed after the government monitored developments in Ikare-Akoko.

Ojogo warned that any further breach of the peace would attract more stringent measures.
