State Of The Nation: PDP Governors Meet On Monday To Strategise Ousting APC
- “The meeting will further review the current state of the nation”
Governors under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will meet on Monday to deliberate on current developments in Nigeria.
For months on end, Nigerians across different divides have expressed concerns over the troubling and precarious situation of the country, particularly nagging insecurity and bad economy which has engendered brutal inflation.
However, the PDP said the Monday meeting will focus on strengthening the party with a view to making it a reliable and viable alternative to the APC.
The party announced in a statement on Sunday by Cyril Maduabum, director-general of the PDP Governors’ Forum, that the meeting will hold in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
Maduabum said the meeting will be attended by the 15 governors in the party under the chairmanship of Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto state.

“The meeting will further review the current state of the nation, especially issues of national security and the economy,”
“Also fine-tune strategies to support PDP as a viable and necessary alternative to the All Progressives Congress administration.”
This will be the second time in about five months that the PDP governors will meet, having met in Benue on April 9.
