LG Elections: Anticipation, Excitement, As APC Primaries Kicks Off In Epe
The stage is set for the All Progressives Congress Local Government Election Primaries as Nigeria’s ruling party in Lagos State takes to the polls to determine the Party’s flagbearers for the forthcoming Local Government Election.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Primaries will hold simultaneously across all 20 Local Government Areas and 57 Local Council Development Areas of the State.
As at the time of filing this report, despite the threat of inclement weather across Epe Division, much anticipation has rented the air as the local community have turned out en masse in solidarity as Lagos State’s most dominant Political Party determines its flagbearers for this year’s election.
Speaking with Eko Hot Blog at Ward A1, L.A Primary School, Epe, incumbent Chairman, Epe Local Government, Hon Adedoyin Adesanya, who will once again vie to retain his Chairmanship position, said his decision to once again throw his hat into the ring is inspired by the need to complete his ongoing projects and bring more development to the grassroots.

“The APC, our Party is having it’s Primaries throughout Lagos State. I’m one of the aspirants, because I want to complete my ongoing projects and bring more development to our people at the grassroot level,” he said.
There was also much excitement at other collation centres as Party officials began to set up for the historic exercise, albeit belatedly due to the inclement weather that hampered prompt commencement of proceedings.
