Youths Chase Traditional Ruler Out Of Palace In Ondo
- Some angry youths have reportedly chased a traditional ruler out of palace in Ondo State.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that aggrieved youths in the Itaogbolu community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State have reportedly chased their traditional ruler out of his palace.
The angry youths, it was gathered, chased the traditional ruler out of his palace over an alleged diabolical killing of a policeman identified as Ayo Oloyede in the community.
Oloyede was said to have visited his mother and was heading back to Akure, the Ondo State capital, when the commercial vehicle he boarded somersaulted several times between Itaogbolu and Odudu village last Sunday.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the deceased was attached to the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Ondo State Police Command before his death.

However, the death of the police officer sparked a protest on Sunday as the youths stormed the palace of the traditional ruler of the Itaogbolu community, Oba Idowu Faborode, and chased him out of the palace.
It was learnt that the aggrieved youths accused the monarch of failing to perform his functions as well as protect the residents of the community.
The youths, who attributed the accident that killed Oloyede to some supernatural powers, regarded the late policeceman as a good man who always attends to their needs.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Tee Leo Ikoro.
