- Following the death of Pastor T.B. Joshua, EKO HOT BLOG has uncovered a few things you probably didn’t know about the popular cleric.
The founder of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly known as T.B. Joshua, was reported dead on Saturday.
EKO HOT BLOG had reported that T.B. Joshua died in Lagos shortly after concluding a programme at his church on Saturday evening.
However, below are a few things you probably didn’t know about the popular pastor:
- T.B. Joshua was born on June 12, 1963, in Arigidi Akoko, Ondo State.
- According to T.B. Joshua’s official biography, unusual circumstances surrounded his birth. He said that he spent 15 months in his mother’s womb and narrowly escaped death after a quarry explosion near his house sent rocks through its roof just seven days after his birth.
- T.B. Joshua attended St. Stephen’s Anglican Primary School in Arigidi Akoko.
- In school, he was known as “small pastor” because of his love for the Bible.
- T.B. Joshua was widely known for the deliverance of those allegedly possessed by evil spirits during church services.

- He donated over N26m towards restoring electricity and putting an end to over two years of power outage in four councils in Akoko area of Ondo State.
- T.B. Joshua funded the building and running of a school in Lahore, Pakistan named ‘Emmanuel School’. He also rebuilt a school in a rural area destroyed by the 2016 Ecuador earthquake, travelling to Ecuador for the opening of the school in June 2017.
- T.B. Joshua, in recognition of his humanitarian activities, was awarded a National Honour by the Nigerian government in 2008. He also received a letter of appreciation from the United Nations (UN).
- He died on June 5, 2021 in his home in Lagos at the age of 57.
