Minister Seeks Justice For UNILORIN Rape Victim
- “There must be justice for the University of Ilorin undergraduate, Blessing Olajide who recently met her untimely death due to rape…”
The Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, on Monday, called on security agencies including the Department of State Services and Police in Kwara State, to urgently fish out the killers of Blessing Olajide.
The Minister tabled the demand in a statement she personally signed in Abuja on Monday.
She said there must be justice for Olajide, a 300-level student in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) who was raped to death by hoodlums.

“There must be justice for the University of Ilorin undergraduate, Blessing Olajide who recently met her untimely death due to rape.
“It is most disheartening to receive the report of the alleged rape and murder of this young promising Blessing Olajide, and I see this as a heinous act.
“It is an act that falls below the threshold of accepted behaviour and no excuse should be made in condemning this act.
“To say that it was perpetrated against a young female student who was already in the 300-level of her study at the University of Ilorin is most condemnable,” the statement read.
