Osinbajo Test-Drives First Made-In-Nigeria Electric Car

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday test-drove the first locally-assembled electric car in Nigeria.
He test-drove the car called the Hyundai Kona during an exhibition tour of made-in-Nigeria products at the opening ceremony of a five-day Nigeria@60 Expo, held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
The Vice President shared a short video of the exercise via his verified Facebook page.
He was accompanied by the Director-General of Nigeria Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Jelani Aliyu, and the Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo.

It was first launched by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in November 2020.
NADDC boss, Jelani Aliyu unveiled it in Abuja in February 2021.
