Halep Finally Stops 15-Year-Old Exciting Tennis Prospect, Gauff

Coco Gauff, the American 15-year-old prodigy who has been a huge revelation at Wimbledon this year, was finally stopped yesterday.

Gauff, who came through qualifying, played her first match at the grandslam by beating Venus Williams and had reached the Round of 16 with huge m support of the crowd.

Halep, a former French Open champion, however, didn’ allow the 15-year-old into their fourth round match and she appeared to be holding her stomach, needing treatment later at the start of the second set.

Now with her Wimbledon adventure over, Gauff can only play five more tournaments this year because of her age but she has the consolation of £175,000 in prize money.
