Ondo Police Nab Suspected Human Parts Traders Who Exhume, Sell Corpses
- It was gathered that the suspects, who were on a motorcycle, were intercepted by a patrol team led by one lnspector Ayo, attached to Safer Highway Patrol.
The Ondo State Police Command has on Thursday confirmed the arrest of five suspects who allegedly exhumed corpses at a church cemetery in Ondo town, Ondo State.
The Ondo State Public Relations Officer, Tee-Leo Ikoro, made the disclosure in Akure, the state capital on Thursday.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the suspects are Opeyemi Odetola, Lanre Akintola, Clement Adesanoye, Alowonle Kehinde, and Jubril Jimoh.
According to the Command, the suspects, who were arrested by the police operatives on Saturday, were alleged to be selling the human parts after exhuming them from the cemetery.

It was gathered that the suspects, who were on a motorcycle, were intercepted by a patrol team led by one lnspector Ayo, attached to Safer Highway Patrol.
It was further learnt that the patrol team intercepted the motorcyclist, who was conveying one of the suspects, Opeyemi Odetola, with a big sack containing human parts from Ondo to the neighbouring Ifetedo town in Osun State, and arrested them.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the patrol team handed the suspect over to the policemen at the Funbi Fagun Division in Ondo who later arrested other suspects.
The police spokesman said the suspects have confessed to committing the crime, noting that “investigation has commenced into the matter”.
